"Techno is what you make of it." - A self-description of the approach by Sascha Funke. He was born and raised in East Berlin, where in the early nineties, techno and house music took off. His first techno record is "The Seawolf" by the Detroit Underground Resistance (see below). Previously, he fucked with so-called Euro-dance pop. At least pop as an influence has remained a positive thing, (it still pops off in some of Sasha's tracks with the bone-dry bass drum and the sparkle baby. Sascha's got pop and techno in a good place i think though.
