I've been listening to Chilean artist, Matias Aguayo's, new album, The Visitor, since it was released in late June. Aguayo, whose previous two albums were released on Kompact, has released this album on his new imprint, Cómeme, dedicated to showcasing Latin American talent. While much of the album is, perhaps, too ambitious in its scope, creating a frenetic sound that engenders cacophony rather than left-field discordant dance grooves, Aguayo is at his best when he settles in seductive dance groves as in Rrrrr and Aonde.
