Hard Mix - I've Got Them

21 year old Noah Smith will keep you hypnotized with "I've Got Them," heavy with the vocal samples and numerous electronic sounds. Anything and everything seems to be making a little noise here but the track is so well balanced and ambitious that it keeps your attention. Dude's already been commissioned to create a mix for SiriusXM Chill, from which this track was first featured.

Troy NōKA ft. T. Coles - Right Now

Out of Los Angeles, producer/songwriter Antwoine Collins was the brains behind three tracks off Frank Ocean's Nostalgia, Ultra (Dust, There Will Be Tears, & Love Crimes). "Right Now" is the very first song created by his solo project as Troy NōKA. It can be found on Free Dreaming slated for a release sometime in March. 808 heavy and a lot to look forward to if you ask me. Proclaimed as a one man band by many.

Kid Cudi - Teleport 2 Me, Jamie

New Single featured on Cudi and Dot Da Genius' collaborative album titled WZRD coming February 28th. Classic Mescudi with the spacey, up in the air catchy melodies that always seem to get stuck in our heads. Samples Desire's "Under Your Spell" from the Drive Soundtrack. He might honestly be on some other shit, but it works. And anything affiliated with Drive, is well....cool.

NanosauR - Heem

NanosauR is Michael Solorzano from the San Francisco bay area.

Justice- On'n'On (Rick Rubin Remix)

Rick Rubin's contributions to the Justice track. Some funky ish.

Theophilus London - Big Spender

Ridiculously dope. And I'm not even that big on TL. After the jump is a video of him performing the track live.

After The Smoke - OIAM

I tried to get benjamin to plug this track by Once In A Million, but he found it so daps to that wizza.  Otherwise, if you fuck with Yelawolf you might recognize this beat from the track below.  The beat is on some coo... so the Yelawolf drama with UMG doesn't really concern me... the video is fuckin crackin.  Directed by Andrew Fairbank, Edited by Rob Coin, Produced by Gerrad Wilson.

Machine Gun Kelly - Wild Boy/The Return

I'm guilty of dismissing MGK the moment I saw Diddy introduce him as part of his label. However, this track is too bammer not to plug. Also down low is an awesome video to an equally impressive track from MGK. Credit Waka with the assist on the Wild Boy track and Katt Williams for clowning. Oh, and credit Diddy for the obnoxious number of Ciroc shots.

Azealia Banks - Bambi

There is something about Miss Banks' music thats got me perplexed but wanting more. So long as the Emperor's grooving though, I have little to complain about.

Thaddeus David - Maven

Seattle's Thaddeus David has offered up a new tape via his label Members OnlyMaven.  It's all pretty hitter, but Thad comes at you with hella different styles making the mixtape... more like a collection of songs.  The first track, "Less Is More" was produced by Plug Gods God Father, Tele Fresco AKA SteezieColtrane AKA Stevie (of Stevie and Sam).  Thaddeus David and Tele Fresco are currently working on a different project together that will drop in the near future.

Schoolboy Q - My Homie (Prod. by The Alchemist)

It's Friday. Light a couple and enjoy the night.

Dam Mantle - Her Woes

Here is the flipside of the Becoming Real track I posted a few days back.  Glasgow based producer Dam Mantle hits us with frenetic clicks, synths, and a Dilla sample.

GoldFFinch - Point of Entry & Funky Steppa / Groove Panda

Belgian duo GoldFFinch has had a busy start to the year with releases on both 877 and Saigon records.  The first track, Point of Entry, is driven by a flurry 808 kicks while Funky Steppa is geared towards the dance floor.

Black Spade - Spand (prod. by Knxwledge)

Socially conscious rap minus the clichés. Plus you have Knxwledge on the beat.

Clear Soul Forces - Get No Better

Now that's just some refreshing hip-hop right there

Logic - Young Sinatra III

Infinite fuego in a cylinder that unloads with no end in sight. DL down low.

Desire - Don't Call (Video)

After being featured on the soundtrack for everyone's favorite film of the summer Drive , Desire releases these retro visuals which were actually shot during a hurricane. Directed by Alberto Rossini and the song can be found on the group's only album II, released back in 2009. CLEAN

Tourist - Placid Acid

Title track off of the EP Placid Acid coming March 12th.

THEESatisfaction - Do You Have Time

These soulful chicks out of the 206 who did their thing on Shabazz Palaces' 2011 Black Up are set to release their 1st album titled awE naturalE, out March 27th. This joint won't be on the album but it's dope song and a nice intro of what is to come.

Trust - Sulk

Toronto synth pop duo's closing track off their debut LP TRST.

Saint Etienne - Tonight

St. Etienne's Bob Stanley says the track is "about the anticipation of going to see your favourite artist. For some reason, I imagine this show is at the Forum in Kentish Town. The whole album is about the power of pop, how it affects and shapes your life." Cool ish. This is will be the first single off of the British electronic pop group's 1st album in 5 years, titled Words and Music by Saint Etienne.

Phédre - In Decay

Have some fun to this.

Daniel Rossen - Saint Nothing

This dude is in Grizzly Bear. "Saint Nothing" is the first track from Rossen's forthcoming solo EP, Silent Hour/Golden Mile.  I implore you to stick around for the latter half of the track. My dude brings some new elements into the equation and makes shit a little more eery.  Great title too man... fuck.

Blondes - Wine

The self-titled debut LP from blurry dance duo Blondes is out February 7 on RVNG Intl.  Below is a remix to the track that was released in December.

Enchante - Sex On The Beach

I'm not in the mood to translate information right now so I'm quoting.  But this is the codeine wave machine off the new vinyl put out by Enchante.  Check below for my detailed information.
Greco-Roman’s new signing and secret DJ team weapon Enchante opens the new year with a selection of under-the-counter, R&B flavoured bootlegs. This SIX tracker mooches around everything from future garage to sluggish druggy beatdown gear, footwork to hyped up bassline. With remixes imminent for Metronomy, Azari & III and Joe Goddard, a full EP coming featuring Sampha and a release on Aramac’s Sticks n Stones label, this should be a busy year for the mysterious North Londoner.
Support from Toddla T, Sinden, Roska, Benji, Will Saul, Tayo to name a few.

Enchante - 'Sex On The Beach' by BOILER ROOM

Ghost Mutt – Sweat Mode EP

To give you an idea of what you're getting here:
Twisting RnB vocals around his own signature rhythmic take on bass music, on the Sweat Mode EP Ghost Mutt melds elements of soul, boogie and house creating a homage to the time when Rnb was more about being with your lover in front of an open log fire than drinking champagne and getting sweaty in the VIP section of the club.
The first track is a proper intro but the other three tracks on the EP all demand a listen.

Jarren Benton - Shut Up Bitch (Video)

Raunchy visuals for a raunchy track by the ATLien. Here is a little bonus if you like what you hear and want more.

Jamie XX B2B Caribou

Looks like Boiler Room is the place to be. This got uploaded to their Soundcloud account a couple days ago, although it appears like the real action went down in October '11. I really dig this concept, throwing two dj's together for an hour (in this case 100 minutes) and letting them vibe the crowd out. In this case we get treats from the consistently Plug-able jamie XX and Caribou.

JMSN - Alone

Detroit native Christian Berishaj aka JMSN (pronounced JAMESON) recently dropped his 16 track LP †Priscilla†, which he solely produced. Here is the video for "Alone," his first single and my favorite song off the album by far. This came out a while back, but hey fuck it. You can't help but draw comparisons to The Weeknd after listening to this joint. Abel is far ahead in the game (VERY FAR) but dude does his thing. Painful, drug induced nights are becoming a relevant past time these days. Enjoy

Previous: JMSN - Alone (Kno Remix)

Symmetry - Over the Edge

Third track on the 250 minute long Themes for an Imaginary Film. Very Drive-esque, obviously. Same with these visuals. You get a real poloraid feel driving into the sunset. After listening and watching, I was just like who is this hard ass fool driving, mobbin to this song though? Very clean, very stylish.

The Internet - Fastlane (Video)

Syd the Kid and Matt Martian's jazzy "Fastlane," off of Purple Naked Ladies. Kick back and relax to this. The visuals are dope too, and it is a prequel to the "Cocaine" video. Same chicks, different story. Lots of violence. Peep the cameo by Tyler at the end.

Active Child - Hanging On (Video)

80's influenced electronic choir boy Pat Grossi aka Active Child released the visuals for "Hanging On," off of 2011's You Are All I See. It was lowkey one of my favorite albums of the last year. His angel like falsettos are complemented by a live harp and plenty of clean synths and drums . Dude's a clown.

Stalley - Gentleman's Quarterly

Maybach Music affiliated rapper Stalley over some smooth ass Ski Beatz.

Gang Colours - Fancy Restaurant (VIDEO)

Nipsey Hussle - Forever On Some Fly Shit (Video)

Directed by DanTheMan.  Nipsey takes you on his trip to Japan during the official visuals of “Forever On Some Sh*t” off of the Marathon Continues mixtape.  This is prolly my favorite track by Mr. TMC... and now I got some visuals.

ScHoolboy Q - Hands On The Wheel feat. A$AP Rocky (Video)

Etta James - At Last

We lost a great one today...

take a gander at one of her most famous.

"I wanna show that gospel, country, blues, rhythm and blues, jazz, rock 'n' roll are all just really one thing. Those are the American music and that is the American culture."

Becoming Real - Paramnesia

Let this one develop.  Slight change in direction from the London producer, who was opening for Sbtrkt last year, as this one seems geared towards the dance floor (please see below for some of his older tracks to see what I mean).

par·am·ne·sia

2. An inability to recall the meanings of common words.

Sonnymoon - Near Me (Live Version) from Plug Research on Vimeo.

Lapalux - Yellow 90's

Bullion - Say Arr Ee

All vocals and instruments made, sampled, and chopped by bullion himself.

State of Nate (TV Series)

Nate Robinson teamed up with producer T.J. Regan this summer and started the series "State of Nate".  Nate Rob might be my favorite professional athlete but he's also a hometown hero who takes every possible moment to hold it down for Seattle.  More notably he's a three time NBA dunk champion (the only person to do that in the NBA).  He's got a lot of pride and swagger... and some people believe that the 5' 8" legend is too difficult to deal with.  He had his best season with the knicks a few years ago averaging like 19 a game.  Recently Nate has been picked up by the Warriors and per usual, has been an effective spark plug for the squad. This is the first episode... peep the rest after the jizza.  Episode 6 chronicles Nate's relationship with Seattle hero Isaiah Thomas who has heard countless comparisons to Nae Rob. Enjoy

Nicolas Jaar- And I Say [ft. Scout LaRue and Will Epstein]

New Nicolas Jaar track really has me looking forward to his next project. It features Scout LaRue (Bruce Willis and Demmie Moore's daughter) vocals and Will Epstein on the sax. The Chilean aint' playin'.

Azealia Banks - NEEDSUMLUV

  NEEDSUMLUV (SXLND) by Azealia Banks

This came out a couple days ago but Trane forgot to plug it.  She doesn't spit on the track.  it's originally a Machinedrum track... but Azelia goes in on top.  The song samples Aaliyah.  Azelia is fast becoming one of my favorite vocalists.  Her creativity and ability to switch her style up is unprecedented.

Lana Del Rey - Born To Die [Woodkid Remix]

Lana Del Rey - Born To Die [Woodkid Remix] by PurplePR

Great song and in epic fashion... like Woodkid do it.  Woodkid AKA Yoann Lemoine is the french dude that did Lana's video for Born To Die, giving this remix some extra legitimacy.  Dope to see artists dabble in multiple artistic mediums with success.

James Blake - Why Don't You Call Me (Trumpdisco Remix)

James Blake - Why Don't You Call Me (Trumpdisco Remix) by Trumpdisco

This is hella old. Heavy Dub influence clearly, but works very well with JB... not a stretch to say it's reminiscent of Blake himself. This track is slow and chill but still dark and Hamela. Here's another one by Trumpdisco that's a little Dub heavy at some points but overall is a coo ass track. Blessings.
